Privacy policy.

Aniti is an AI assistant that answers customers, books appointments and keeps follow-ups on track for businesses.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we handle, why we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

If anything here is unclear, contact us at info@aniti.ai.

1. Who this policy covers

There are two main ways Aniti handles personal information.

Businesses that use Aniti

Our customers are the businesses and people who create an Aniti account.

For information relating to your Aniti account, billing, use of the service and communications with us, Aniti determines why and how that information is used.

Customers of businesses using Aniti

Businesses can connect Aniti to communication, calendar and other business tools.

If you message, email, book with or otherwise interact with a business that uses Aniti, we may process your information on that business's behalf.

In those situations, the business determines why and how your information is used, and Aniti processes it according to the business's instructions.

If you want to access, correct or delete information you provided to a business using Aniti, you should normally contact that business first. We will help the business respond where required.

2. Information we collect

The information we handle depends on how you interact with Aniti and which features and integrations are used.

Account information

When you create or manage an Aniti account, we may collect information such as:

  • your name;
  • email address;
  • business name;
  • account and team information;
  • billing and subscription information; and
  • account settings and preferences.

Content connected to Aniti

When a business connects services to Aniti, we may process information available through those services.

This can include:

  • messages and conversations;
  • emails;
  • calendar events and appointments;
  • contacts and customer information;
  • products and services;
  • prices and availability;
  • quotes and invoices;
  • files or other information provided to Aniti; and
  • information generated through interactions with Aniti.

The information available to Aniti depends on the integrations and permissions enabled by the business.

Usage and technical information

When you use Aniti, we may automatically receive information such as:

  • browser and device information;
  • IP address;
  • approximate location derived from technical information;
  • pages and features used;
  • timestamps;
  • diagnostic information;
  • performance information; and
  • security and activity logs.

Communications with us

If you contact us for support or otherwise communicate with us, we may keep the information you provide and our correspondence with you.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide and operate Aniti;
  • understand messages and requests;
  • generate and send responses according to a business's instructions;
  • create, update and manage appointments;
  • send reminders and follow-ups;
  • operate integrations selected by a business;
  • authenticate users and manage accounts;
  • process payments and subscriptions;
  • provide customer support;
  • monitor performance and troubleshoot problems;
  • protect accounts and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
  • understand and improve how Aniti works;
  • communicate important information about the service; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on an appropriate legal basis for processing personal information. Depending on the circumstances, this may include performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests, consent, or processing carried out on behalf of a business using Aniti.

4. AI processing

Aniti uses artificial intelligence to understand information, generate responses and perform tasks.

For example, if someone sends a message to a business using Aniti, relevant information from that conversation may be processed by an AI model to understand the request and prepare a response.

We may send information to AI model providers that help us provide these features. They process that information under contractual restrictions and may use it only as permitted under our agreements with them.

We do not use the content businesses connect to Aniti to train AI models for other customers or third parties.

Businesses control what information and services they connect to Aniti and can configure the actions Aniti is permitted to perform.

Because AI systems can make mistakes, businesses may also configure review or approval requirements for certain actions where those features are available.

5. Product improvement

We may use information about how Aniti is used to understand performance, fix problems and improve the service.

Where practical, we use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics and product improvement.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only when necessary to operate Aniti, provide requested integrations, comply with law or protect Aniti and its users.

This may include service providers that help us with:

  • cloud hosting and infrastructure;
  • AI models;
  • databases and storage;
  • email and communications;
  • authentication;
  • payment processing;
  • analytics and monitoring;
  • customer support; and
  • security and fraud prevention.

These providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to provide their services to us and subject to appropriate contractual obligations.

We may also share information:

  • when you ask us to or enable an integration;
  • when required by law or a valid legal process;
  • when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse or security threats;
  • when necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of Aniti, our users or others; or
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of all or part of our business.

If ownership of Aniti changes, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction and will remain subject to applicable privacy protections.

We may maintain a list of important service providers and subprocessors used to operate Aniti.

7. Connected services

Businesses can connect Aniti to third-party services such as messaging platforms, email accounts, calendars and other business tools.

When a business connects one of these services, Aniti may receive and send information through that service according to the permissions granted by the business.

Those services have their own privacy policies and practices. We do not control how they process information independently of Aniti.

You can disconnect supported integrations through Aniti or the relevant third-party service.

8. Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate Aniti, keep users signed in, remember settings, understand how the service is used and protect the service from abuse.

Some of these technologies are necessary for the service to work. Others, such as certain analytics technologies, may be optional depending on applicable law and your settings.

Where required, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Account information is generally kept while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards where necessary for billing, security, dispute resolution or legal obligations.

Connected content is retained according to the operation and configuration of the service and may be deleted when it is no longer required to provide Aniti.

When an account is closed, we delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable period unless we need to retain it for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.

Some information may remain temporarily in backups before being deleted through our normal backup lifecycle.

Businesses using Aniti may have their own retention obligations and settings.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

These measures may include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, authentication, monitoring and security logging.

No online service can guarantee complete security.

If you believe an Aniti account or information handled by Aniti has been compromised, contact us at info@aniti.ai.

11. International data transfers

Aniti and the service providers we use may process information in countries other than the country where you or your customers are located.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for these transfers, we use appropriate mechanisms designed to protect the information.

12. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information.

These may include the right to:

  • access personal information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • request deletion;
  • receive a copy of certain information;
  • object to certain processing;
  • restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • complain to an appropriate privacy or data protection authority.

If you have an Aniti account, you can also manage certain information and connected services through your account.

You may contact us at info@aniti.ai to make a privacy request.

If your information was provided to us by a business using Aniti, that business may be responsible for handling your request. In that case, we may direct your request to the relevant business or ask you to contact them directly.

We will assist businesses using Aniti with privacy requests where required.

13. Communications

We may send account holders transactional communications relating to their account, including security notices, billing information, product changes and important service announcements.

We may also send marketing communications where permitted by applicable law.

You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe option provided in those messages. You may still receive important service-related communications.

14. Children

Aniti is designed for businesses and is not intended to be used by children to create or manage Aniti accounts.

Businesses using Aniti may provide services to families or younger people. In those circumstances, the business is responsible for ensuring that its use of Aniti and collection of personal information is appropriate and lawful.

If we learn that personal information has been collected directly by Aniti in circumstances where it should not have been, we will take appropriate steps to address it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Aniti changes.

If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by email or through the service, before the changes take effect where appropriate.

The date at the top of this policy shows when it was last updated.
